Facts and Myths About the Competition

Myth:

Zahn knows what's on the exam or somebody close to the exam is telling him what's on the exam.

Fact:

Not true.

As a matter of fact, he never even sat for the exam.

He has never served on the CFP® Board and has never written a question for the exam.

Myth:

Zahn has extremely high pass rates, 80-90%

Fact:

Take the time to call and find out for yourself. His overall pass rates are much lower, only slightly better than the national average of 55%. Be an educated consumer and find out the truth!

Myth:

Kaplan students need to pay $900 for a review, plus another $500 for the material, for a total of $1,400 and up!

Fact:

THE DALTON REVIEW® is less expensive ($975) and includes all the necessary study material. Don't over pay for material that you won't be able to work through!

THE DALTON REVIEW® allows students to customize how much time they spend on a subject with pre-study lectures and customized testing. Kaplan seems to measure their materials in metric tons and price accordingly.

Myth:

Keir's pass rate is 85-90%

Fact:

They do not include students in their pass rate calculation that don't study for a certain number of hours.  Anyone could publish high pass rates if they only include the students who are most likely to pass.
